Morrill Hall
Proctor Mechanical Corp, LEED Silver project
Morrill Hall was the first building designed under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines at Iowa State University. Over 99% of all construction waste was recycled during the renovation - that's over 1,230 TONS of waste not placed in a landfill. Also, over 75% off all occupied spaces in Morrill Hall can take advantage of natural daylight.
The restoration of Morrill Hall took two years and was completed in March of 2007. The restoration project has been a wonderful way to preserve the past and provide a modern space for the future students of Iowa State.
